ASI 6114

The new ASI 6114 is aimed at high performance broadcast applications requiring MP3 record and play with both analog and AES/EBU digital interfaces. The ASI6114 uses a 150MHz Texas Instruments TMS320C6711 DSP and provides a powerful multi-rate digital mixer. There are four discrete stereo audio outputs and a stereo record input. Four internal audio devices can be steered to any of the four physical outputs, which can each be connected to a fader on your air board for maximum control of your on-air playback. All analog outputs and inputs are balanced for maximum noise rejection. Audio format choices include MP3, MPEG Layer 2 and linear PCM.

The ASI6114 also has AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital audio input and output for communication with other digitally equipped audio devices and mixer boards, as well as having a powerful multi-rate digital mixer of its own.

Features

  • 4 stereo streams of playback simultaneously, mixed to 4 stereo physical outputs.
  • 4 stereo streams of Layer 3 (MP3), MPEG Layer2 or PCM playback into 4 stereo physical outputs.
  • 4 analog and digital play outputs. 4 analog and digital inputs.
  • 1 stereo stream of Layer3 (MP3), MPEG Layer2 or PCM record.
  • Multi-Rate-Mixing technology supports digital mixing of multiple stream formats and samplerates.
  • Professional balanced audio input and output
  • AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital audio input and output (software selectable) with sample rate converters on all inputs.
  • 150MHz, 900MFLOP floating point DSPs
  • AES/EBU sync input allows adapter clock and AES/EBU outputs to be synched to external AES/EBU reference.
  • 24bit analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters- 100dB SNR and 0.002% THD+N
  • High speed 32bit PCIx bus interface
  • 8MB DRAM for on-board buffering.
  • Up to eight cards in one system
  • Windows 95/98, Windows NT, 2000, XP and Linux software drivers available
  • Designed and manufactured in the USA
