The BSI Closure Kit has replaced the original ISA and PCI cards from Measurement Computing and Computerboards which were more prone to static / lightning damage.

Using the familiar Instacal setup utility, the BSI Closure Kit and is fully USB plug and play compliant and very easy to use. It obtains all required power from the computer's USB port, so no external power connection is ever required (current consumption is extremely low).

Simian can pulse or toggle any of the 24-closures using the RELAY Macro, or RELAY Tool Rack.

At 3.25 inches wide by 3.125 inches long by 1 inch high, the BSI Closure Kit is large enough to make wiring easy, yet small enough to fit in even the most crowded rack space! Magnetic and Velcro mounting options along with a .225 inch attachment hole make mounting easy even in unconventional installations.

(We've seen these 'nailed' and 'screwed' to wooden wall mountings, but the attachment hole can be used by a more conventional cable tie, lock or padlock in applications where unit security must be considered.)

Please note that the USB Closure Kit is only designed for use with Simian 1.7 and higher.
