DR-10Dial-up Remote Control Perfect for ball-games, remotes, or news & traffic flashes, the DR-10 is a user programmable
remote control unit that lets you operate your radio station from anywhere there's a telephone
and / or feed live telephone reports to air!
As well as going 'live', the DR-10 could be used to monitor an external audio source (for EAS monitoring, remote controlled audio switcher, etc.) or to start one of Simian's background recorders for later broadcast by sending a relay closure to a trigger interface. A second, user set password is available that allows the DR-10 to be used as a listening device only. When the secondary password is entered, the DR-10 passes audio to the caller and will stay on-line, but the caller has no control over the unit's relays. Additional ground sink outputs occur when the DR-10 seizes the phone line and when it hangs up. A disable input allows an external device such a timer, switch or automation system to de-activate the DTMF decoder which lets you choose when others gain remote access to your equipment. The DR-10 automatically answers the phone on a user set number of rings and waits for you to enter your password (from none to 8 digits). After entering your password, you have complete control of the DR-10's relays. They can be individually programmed for momentary, latching or interlocked operation. Each relay can be programmed to decode any of the 16 DTMF tones. Any relay can be tied to any other for modes such as latching and interlocked. Relays can return a beep acknowledge tone that tells you when you've activated an output. The DR-10 includes a two-tone sequence mode that prevents accidental contact closures when you're using it for remote broadcasts. The DR-10 has four logic level inputs that can cause the DR-10 to automatically activate any relay and / or call your pager. When an alarm happens, the DR-10 can tell you which channel caused the alarm with a series of beeps. Each status/alarm input can dial a different number up to 24 digits long including pauses. The DR-10 dial-up remote control is perfect for studio & automation control.
