error "Class not registered" or "cannot start Jet Engine"
Manual Installation for DAO350.dll file in 64-bit environmentIn some cases of 64-bit Windows 7, 8 and 10 operating systems, the installation and registration of dao350.dll is blocked, either by anti-virus software or by Windows itself. BSI applications like Simian and WaveCart require the 3.5 version specifically for building an audio database as newer versions (3.60 / dao360.dll) are not backwards compatible. If you are receiving errors “class not registered” or “cannot start Jet Engine”, then you will need to manually register the DAO350.dll file.
